Kid's Are Important At Friendship
Sunday Mornings for Kids
Acorns (Birth-3 Years Old)
This is our nursery room for children ages 0-3. The nursery is open to receive kids before the start of both Sunday morning services, and Saturday night service as well on an as-needed basis. When you bring your child to the nursery, you must sign them in on the clipboard located just inside the door. Trained volunteers are ready to play with your kids and take care of their needs for the entirety of the service.
Sprouts (PreK-Kindergarten)
Children in our sprouts class are encouraged to stay in the service for the worship and announcements, but if they become antsy, you are quite welcomed to drop them off in the nursery a little bit early. When all the children are dismissed from the service, we head back the hall to class. Any Sprouts-aged children in the nursery are brought over to class at that time. There, your child will see an engaging video, hear a Bible story and engage in fun activities to reinforce the lesson. After service, you can pick up your child in the preschool room.
It’s the 3rd door on the right as you go down the hall.
Saplings (1st-3rd grade)
Children in our sprouts class are dismissed for Kids church after the worship and announcement portions of our service. They hear a more in-depth lesson designed for elementary students, and even start looking up some scripture as their reading comprehension grows. After service, you can pick up your child in the room at the very end of the hall. We call it the Train Rug Room, and you will see why!
Mighty Oaks (4th-6th grade)
Children in our Mighty Oaks class are dismissed for Kids Church after the worship and announcement portions of our service. Their lesson, geared towards older elementary students, includes a video, scripture reading, and life-application discussions… and they have a lot of fun too! After service, you can pick up your child in the Youth Room. It’s the 4th door on the right as you walk down the hall.
Teens
Teens are invited to stay in the service and hear the message on the weekends.

A Word About Safety
All of the volunteers in our children and youth programs are trained in our Safe Sanctuary policy that aims to protect children from abuse and foster a safe and spiritual learning environment. We also require a State Police Record Check and Child Abuse History Clearance to be completed before interacting with children or teens. These clearances must be resubmitted every 5 years.
If you have any questions about any of these programs or policies, please contact our Children and Youth Director, Jen Barshinger at [email protected]

Rooted For Teens grades 7 through 12 - Wednesday nights 6:30 to 8:30
Faithweavers is for children in PreK-4th grade. Kids are put into groups with others that are around their age and they rotate to different stations throughout the evening. They will have a snack, make a craft, play a game and hear a story. We have also added a creative prayer station to our rotating schedule. Caring staff run each station and love teaching about and demonstrating God’s love to all of the children in the program.
Deep Blue Faith is a program for our older kids in 5th and 6th grades. Young people in this program will hear the same stories as the younger Faithweavers, but in a more mature way. They will discuss the Bible and how it relates to their lives. Faithweavers is a great place to be introduced to Jesus, and Deep Blue Faith takes our older kids deeper into God’s word.
Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.
