"Chasing Wisdom"

"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock" ~ Matthew 7:24

Sometimes, when we read verses in the Bible, we read them but they kind of pass through us. However, this is one of those verses that call us to action. If you claim to be Christian and desire to be in heaven some day, then this is one you must absorb by meditating on it. When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we surrender our will to His will. So how do we become wise men or women and build our house on the rock?  This week at Friendship, we will be continuing our journey with the Holy Spirit and start chasing God's wisdom so that our house will be built on the Rock! This is important whether we are refer to the house as the structure we live in, our family that lives in that structure, or ourselves being the temple of the Holy Spirit and His house. We are exploring "Chasing Wisdom". Is wisdom a destination or a way of life? What happens when the world's wisdom is different than God's wisdom? Have you ever said, "I wish I did that differently" or "I don't know how I am going to (fill in the blank)"? We will be spending some time in Proverbs 2,4 and 8 if you want to read ahead and prepare.
