"Work"

Feb 22, 2026

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. ~ 2 Timothy 4:7 NIV

This is one of those moments in Scripture that we get to read, and if you put yourself inside the Scripture, you hear a conversation between Paul the Apostle and his brother in Christ, Timothy. Can we have that same conversation with our brothers and sisters in Christ? Are we fighting the good fight, or just watching the fight? Are we racing in the race, or watching from the stands? Are we keeping the faith that our Lord and Savior has and is teaching us, or are we just denying the faith?

This week at Friendship, we are exploring “The Foundation of Work.” What does it mean to work? Why do we work, and how do we work? For some, we may try to avoid work. For others, we may always complain about work.

As Christians, are we to approach work differently than the world? Is it just about earning or receiving a paycheck, week after week, month after month, year after year? Join us this weekend to explore what the Holy Spirit of God has to say about the “Foundation of Work,” so that we can all fight a good fight, race a good race, and keep the faith like our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

Please remember, if you have baby bottles or a blessing for Human Life Services, to bring that with you this weekend!
