"For Heaven's Sake"
"But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables Him to bring everything under His control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like His glorious body" ~ Philippians 3:20-21
Most of us who have come to know our Savior are familiar with this promise, that our end is no longer here on this earth, that we are merely sojourners here while we are citizens of our eternal home in heaven. But what will that be like? When will we enter into our eternal home? Who else will be there? What do we have to go through before we get there? These are just some of the questions that infiltrate our minds regarding heaven and, if we're honest, not having answers to them has a tendency to make us all a little bit anxious. The Bible has much to say about these things, but it's not always crystal clear and since none of us have been there yet, we are left with more questions. We each must decide if we are able to accept that there are things we cannot know yet, and that regarding those things, we must simply trust in God and His timing of it all. This week at Friendship, we'll look at some of those Scriptures and try to get some answers in a message titled "For Heaven's Sake". However, we must know that, at the end of our study, we will still have to trust God for what we don't know. Join us as we explore these mysteries.
