The Father Knows
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" ~ Philippians 4:6-7
As we approach Father's Day 2026, you may have all sorts of thoughts about your earthly father or the father figures in your life. You may have thoughts of pain, grief, anger, joy, laughter, or gratitude. Your relationship with your earthly father likely had a huge impact on your identity and how you view yourself, and also how you view God. But it's important to remember that every human father is a fallen sinner and someone who was impacted by the failings of his own father. Our fathers don't even fully understand themselves, let alone knowing all there is to know about their children. This is why we are in desperate need of a relationship with our heavenly Father, who knows us better than we know ourselves. This week at Friendship, we will discuss what it means to trust that "The Father Knows" all things about us. It should have a major impact on our prayer lives, as well as help us persevere through difficult times. Join us to hear more about being fully known and loved by our Father!
