Rebuilder of Broken Walls and Lives

So it’s Thanksgiving again and the big question is: What are we Thankful for? For some of us, we can use this time to remind ourselves of everything we should be thankful for and to whom we should be thankful. If I were to ask you to think back 5 years or 10 years and picture Thanksgiving and who was at the table with you, how many of those people are no longer with us, and why? Were we truly thankful for them? This weekend we will be covering the next book in the Bible and discover where we can see Jesus in the Book of Nehemiah. This book speaks of rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem and all that went into that achievement. What are the walls in our lives that are broken and in need of repair? What and how do we do that? What friendships or family relationships are broken and, because of that, will not be with us at the table for Thanksgiving? We are also entering the time of the year which Christians call Advent. What meaning does that have in our lives and our faith journey? We will explore all of these issues this weekend, so I invite you to reflect on what we are thankful for that God has blessed us with and join us to see where Jesus shows up in the Book of Nehemiah. We will also be celebrating Him with the Lord's Supper, and we remind you that EVERYONE who believes is welcome at the table of the Lord!
