"Give Us Today Our Daily Bread"
"He rained down manna for the people to eat, He gave them the grain of heaven. Human beings ate the bread of angels; He sent them all the food they could eat" ~ Psalm 78:24-25
Do you find yourself to be constantly stressed and anxious about whether you have "enough"? This could refer to your finances, your food, your ability to complete important tasks, your energy, or a number of other measurables in your life. If you are worried about these things, it may be time to stop and reflect on where your trust lies. Is it attached to your own ability to provide for yourself? Is it based on a false sense of security in things you have built or planned for yourself? Is it contingent on others following through with what they promised? If any of these are the foundation of your trust, it's no surprise when you find yourself riddled with fear. Each of these will let you down, but God never has. He continues to provide for all our needs. This week at Friendship, we'll discuss the phrase "Give Us Today Our Daily Bread" and how we can be content and even thankful rather than worrisome when it comes to what we need. Being intentionally thankful for all God has given us helps remind us that He can be trusted. Join us for this reminder about gratitude, trust, and obedience!
