Pursuit of the Unsaved

Feb 27, 2022    Pastor Logan Ames

Stop and think about the last time you passed judgment on someone you don't even know. It may have been earlier today after they cut you off in traffic, last night while watching the news and learning of a heinous crime that harmed innocent people, or even the last time you had to pay for gas or otherwise deal with rising costs due to inflation. Maybe you cursed or judged some politicians during that moment. Whenever it was, it is almost a guarantee that you felt absolute conviction in your judgment even though you knew nothing about the person's background, character, hardship, or salvation. Now, stop and think about where you'd be if God judged you by the same standard you have applied to others. Too often, our attitude is, "Mercy for me, judgment for thee". But if we want to know the Lord, we must consider His desire that none would perish, and His willingness to exhaust all options in drawing the lost to Himself. This week at Friendship, we'll look at how God reveals Himself through "The Pursuit of the Unsaved". He is always chasing them long after we've given up the pursuit. We'll specifically dig into the story of Rahab and how God used her circumstances to not only save His people, but also save her! This is a message you don't want to miss.
